In this series of drop-in meditation classes, we are exploring the book How to Solve Our Human Problems by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. We will come to understand that we have nothing to blame but our own negative states of mind for the constant stream of problems that beset us. We will see how our uncontrolled desire and anger – the real culprits – keep hurting us, harming others, and choking off our chances of finding any long term happiness. We will particularly focus on recognizing and, finally, overcoming our anger, by learning how to create and maintain a peaceful mind when faced with even the most difficult circumstances.
