Teachings from the Buddhist masterpiece, Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life, by Bodhisattva Shantideva
In reality, all the problems we experience day-to-day come from our self-cherishing and self-grasping – misconceptions that exaggerate our own importance. Because we do not understand this we normally blame others for our problems and this just makes them worse. We can solve all our problems by sincerely practising the instructions given in this special course through meditating on the four close placements of mindfulness of the body, feelings, mind and phenomena. Through this, we will discover the true nature of all things, thus releasing us permanently from all problems. How wonderful! Everybody welcome.
