THE ORAL INSTRUCTIONS OF MAHAMUDRA
Part 1 with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong
Part 2 & 3 with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab
The oral instructions of Mahamudra are the heart practice of Kadam Dharma. They include special methods according to Highest Yoga Tantra that lead to the accomplishment of the union of great bliss and emptiness and eventually to the union of Buddhahood, full enlightenment. By following these blessed instructions sincerely it is possible to attain enlightenment in one short life.
These precious instructions were given to Je Tsongkhapa directly by Wisdom Buddha Manjushri. Since then they have been transmitted through a continuous unbroken lineage and are now held by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, who is the living lineage holder of these instructions. It is from this great master that Gen-la Dekyong and Gen-la Khyenrab directly received the oral transmission of these instructions.
During the Summer Festival Gen-la Dekyong and Gen-la Khyenrab will explain this practice based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s book The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra, The Very Essence of Buddha’s Teachings of Sutra and Tantra.
Eventually, through practising Mahamudra meditation we will be able to benefit each and every living being every day. There is no greater meaning than this. Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
