Understanding Our Emotions: a Buddhist perspective
with Gen Kelsang Suma
In this class we will explore our feelings and where they come from. At the moment we believe that people and things ‘make’ us feel good or bad. From a Buddhist point of view this is a huge mistake – and one that lies at the root of all our painful emotions. Once we understand that our feelings aren’t caused by anything external, but arise from potentials existing within our mind, we’ll be free to change our experiences of people and situations in positive, beneficial ways.
