Our life is not just a random set of happenings coming from nowhere. Each experience we have is the effect of karmic potentials, or seeds sown in our mind by our own past actions. Understanding these connections, we can begin to recognize and control the negative patterns of thought, speech and action that are producing so much sickness, pain and disharmony in our lives, and gradually create causes for our minds to become deeply stable, happy and peaceful.
