About Us

Jampa Ling Kadampa Buddhist Centre is located in central Barrie on Dunlop Street. Established in 2011 under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Centre has a beautiful meditation room, a shared community space for people to get to know each other and a Dharma shop that carries all of Geshe Kelsang’s books, as well as posters, postcards, and gift items. The Jampa Ling community is a mix of individuals of all ages and backgrounds, some new to Buddhism, others experienced in the Dharma. The common thread which knits these individuals together is a caring and loving nature combined with an interest in learning about Buddhist practice and how to make our lives happier and more meaningful.

We are a member of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union. Jampa Ling Kadampa Buddhist Centre is an incorporated Canadian non-profit and charity, registration number  # 854616596 – RR0001.

Three Spiritual Programs

Buddhism teaches that to find lasting happiness and meaning in our lives we need to follow a spiritual path. To follow this path it is important to have a close connection with a qualified teacher who can give us personal advice and encouragement, to listen to pure Dharma teachings, and to belong to a strong spiritual community.
