The word “mantra” literally means “mind protection”. Reciting mantras in daily life shields our minds from negativity and keeps our mind uplifted, focused, and well-intentioned.

Throughout the day (and night!) we can use this beautiful Buddhist prayer as a mantra:

May everyone be happy,

May everyone be free from misery,

May no one ever be separated from their happiness,

May everyone have equanimity, free from hatred and attachment.

This powerful prayer wishes everyone to experience true happiness, freedom from problems, a balanced mind, and inner joy. If everyone took its meaning to heart, all barriers to world peace would quickly fall. In this half-day course, Gen Suma will explore the meaning of this prayer and how we can make it our daily mantra for the immense benefit of ourselves and others.
